Senior Legal Associate

Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Mid-Senior Legal Associate with 5–8 years of post-qualification experience to join our in-house legal team in Bengaluru. This is a high-impact role for a legal professional who enjoys working on diverse matters—ranging from commercial agreements and corporate advisory to regulatory compliance and transaction support—in a fast-paced startup ecosystem.

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the business needs and asks and drive the legal aspects of all business initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of agreements and documents, including: Shareholder Agreements, Subscription Agreements, Term Sheets, Employment Contracts, HR Policies, and ESOP documentation
  • Vendor, Service, and SaaS Agreements, IP Licensing, Assignment, and NDAs
  •  Debenture Agreements, and other investment instruments, Lease Deeds, Data Processing Agreements, and MOUs
  • Provide legal advisory support to internal teams (procurement, HR, operations, business development).
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements under: Companies Act, Labor & employment laws, IP and data privacy laws, Environmental and sectoral regulations.
  • Liaise with external counsel on litigation, dispute resolution, and niche legal matters.


 


Key Skills & Requirements

· LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a reputed institution.(LL.M. is a plus).

· 5–8 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house exposure.

  • Strong communication, legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in startup or corporate legal environments is desirable.
  • Proficiency in corporate law, commercial contracts, labor laws, IP, and regulatory compliance.

Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and balance legal risk with business objectives
